Ouverture du Chapitre provincial du Verbe Incarné 2022

Frère Marcel Tshikez, ofm président du Chapitre

Le lundi 4 juillet 2022 au monastère sainte Claire d'Assise d'Akepé, Lomé au Togo, les frères franciscains de la province du Verbe Incarné (comprenant cinq pays à savoir: La Côte d’Ivoire, Le Togo, le Ghana, le Burkina Faso, le Bénin) sont réunis en Chapitre provincial sous la conduite du Président du Chapitre le frère Marcel Tshikez, ofm. Le frère Armando Cossa, ofm, Custode de la Custodie franciscaine de la Guinée Bisau est aussi présent pour accompagner les frères comme expert en Droit Canonique.  Le thème de ce Chapitre est : « Répondant à l’invitation de l’Esprit Saint, Frères Mineurs aujourd’hui, œuvrons davantage avec humilité et passion pour le renouvellement et le rayonnement de notre identité franciscaine ». Ce Chapitre prendra fin le samedi 09 juillet 2022.

 

Comme à chaque Chapitre provincial, les frères de la Province du Verbe Incarné sont invités à « analyser la situation actuelle de la vie et de l’activité des frères de la Province, de chercher et de proposer des moyens aptes à sa croissance et à sa réforme, de discuter de nouveaux projets et des affaires de plus grande importance, de prendre des décisions à ce sujet en assemblée commune et de faire les élections.» ( CCGG 215, §1)

 

Nous confions ce Chapitre provincial à la Divine miséricorde et à l’intercession de notre Père Séraphique saint François d’Assise pour que tout se passe bien selon la volonté de Dieu.

Opening of the Provincial Chapter of the Incarnate Word 2022

On Monday, July 4, 2022 at the monastery of Saint Clare of Assisi in Akepé, Lomé in Togo, the Franciscan friars of the province of the Incarnate Word (Including five countries : Côte d'Ivoire, Togo, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Benin) are gathered in a Provincial Chapter under the leadership of the President of the Chapter, Brother Marcel Tshikez, ofm. Brother Armando Cossa, ofm, Custos of the Franciscan Custody of Guinea Bisau is also present to accompany the brothers as an expert in Canon Law. The theme of this Chapter is: "Responding to the invitation of the Holy Spirit, Friars Minor today, let us work more with humility and passion for the renewal and radiance of our Franciscan identity". This Chapter will end on Saturday July 09, 2022.

 

As at each Provincial Chapter, the brothers of the Province of the Incarnate Word are invited to “examine the present state of life and activity of the friars of the Provincem to search for and propose suitable means for its growth and improvement, to discuss and, by common council, to decide on new undertakings and affairs of major importance, and to carry out elections”. (GGCC 215, §1)

 

We entrust this Provincial Chapter to the Divine Mercy and to the intercession of our Seraphic Father Saint Francis of Assisi so that everything goes well according to the will of God.
